Anti-Cancer Therapies John Benton Has Personally Used
This webpage is about our friend's (John Benton) story of fighting cancer. He published this in the hope that the information will benefit others who are battling cancer or who are interested in cancer prevention. In spite of John’s heroic efforts, he passed on August 28, 2009.
Introduction
In Feb. 2007, I was diagnosed with terminal (stage IV) Prostate Cancer which had metastasized (gone into the bones) throughout my body. The medical doctors could offer no cure for it. However, they started me on hormone therapy (Casodex & 4-month Lupron shots) to alleviate the pain and slow down the progress of the cancer. After 3 days on the drug Casodex, I was quite free of the intense pain (for which I was very grateful).
My family and friends immediately started praying to Jesus Christ for me.
God gave me grace sufficient, especially during the difficult early days: (1) I was able to bear the intense pain. (2) Then, when I received the diagnosis, I was not devastated; I could cope with this grim health prognosis because I knew that whenever I die, I would be with God. (3) I had the strength and perseverance to follow a very intense and strict anti-cancer regime.
God began to heal me.
About one month after my diagnosis, the Lord directed me to alternative medicine websites (we had not been searching for this information previously). We learned a lot of information about cancer and how to fight it: the importance of a proper anti-cancer diet and how to utilize some of the many alternative therapies available.
I began an anti-cancer diet (along with the Budwig cottage cheese & flaxseed oil mixture, explained below) and taking supplements. My strength and energy levels started to improve dramatically.
After being on the diet and supplements for a while, I stopped taking the Casodex daily pills (I had been taking them for 3 months). I continued to be pain-free.
On the alternative medicine websites, I learned about the Navarro HCG Urine Test for cancer (see Navarro Test for more information). I first took Dr. Navarro's test on 3-30-07 (about 1-1/2 months after my diagnosis), and the result was 78 -- very high, as should be expected for Stage IV cancer. (This test is for both men and women, and it tells what level [or lack of] cancer cells are in a person. The dividing point between cancer/no cancer is 50.) I had a second test done 10 weeks later (6-14-07), and it was 59! I was very encouraged to continue to press on using alternative regimes. The third test 10 weeks after that (8-24-07) was 55. The next two tests (10-11-07 and 2-12-08) were also 55. The 4-23-08 test dropped one point to 54. The 6-30-08 test dropped another point to 53.
About 5 months after my diagnosis, I again visited my family doctor, whom I wanted to monitor my progress from his perspective. I seemed in good health to him, and he ordered blood tests for me. When the tests came back, everything was normal!! (In the original blood tests, 13 of the readings were abnormal.)
About 9 months after my diagnosis, my blood test showed an elevated PSA again and a higher-than-normal Alkaline Phosphatase level. I started taking Casodex again (only until after I got a second Lupron shot).
Since then I have completed a 3-month Cesium regime (through the Wolfe Clinic) and have had all (two) root canal teeth extracted. If possible, this should be done by a biological dentist (VERY important!).
In June 2008 I asked Dr. Daniel Rubin, a naturopathic oncologist in the Phoenix area, for his advice regarding my treatment program. Dr. Rubin requested another bone scan to compare with the original scan done in February 2007. I was encouraged to see significant improvement over the original one.
Ever since I was diagnosed with cancer, many people have prayed for me and for my healing. He has been answering these prayers - giving me strength to persevere and healing me.

Treatments I Have Used

As I wrote in the Introduction, I was diagnosed with stage IV Prostate Cancer that had gone into the bones throughout my body. The medical doctors offered me no cure for it -- just something to make me feel better for a while. I found that there are many alternative medicine treatments available to fight cancer. Here I will list those I have used to date. I am glad to share with you my experiences and what I have learned.
(I also have benefited from the advice & care of Dr. Darrell Wolfe www.thewolfeclinic.com). I paid a fee for unlimited phone consultations with him, and I have purchased a lot of supplements, etc. from his clinic.)

- I pray often to God for healing and to guide what I do. I give Him the credit for my life so far.
- There are several items I did which seem to be imperative for all cancer patients to do:
1. A person must drink much good water daily (at least ½ the person's weight [in lbs] in ounces); i.e. a 140-pound person should drink a minimum of 70 oz. of water per day.
2. The entire elimination system (especially the colon & liver) must be in good working order.
3. An anti-cancer diet is crucial to keeping cancer away. It is as important as the actual treatment for the cancer. Many authors say it is 50% of the long-term battle.

Cancer loves an acidic body, which is produced by the typical American diet. The anti-cancer diet produces an alkaline body, in which cancer cells cannot survive. I grow and eat lots of sprouts (www.sprouthouse.com), plus veggies and minimal grains. The automatic sprouter is an EasyGreen, manufactured by http://www.easygreen.com/ .

The only meat is occasionally some sardines (Bela brand, www.mybela.com), canned salmon, or chicken (to gain weight). NO SUGAR or ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS! NO PROCESSED FOODS! NO FRUITS except lemons, limes and avocados. Cancer loves sugar!!! Get organic products whenever possible. Drink good water -- no chlorine, etc. In addition, I try to drink several green drinks (from powder) every day.
To summarize -- for cancer patients, there are basically 5 food types to avoid:
1. No SUGAR -- Cancer cells love sugar.
2. No Processed foods.
3. Minimal Animal protein.
4. No Dairy (The Budwig mixture [see below] is not considered dairy.)
5. No Gluten or corn.

- I daily ate the Budwig Mixture -- 1/3 cup cottage cheese (I use Nancy's Organic) & 3 T flax oil emulsified together for breakfast & lunch. This is blended until like a whipped topping, using an electric stick blender. (I use a Kitchen Aid stick blender with good results.) Then let it sit for 5 minutes before eating.

- I soak all produce that will not be peeled and the sprouts I grow in Food Grade hydrogen peroxide (diluted to 3% strength) for 5 minutes. - Root canals can be a potential cause of cancer and hindrance to a cure. The services of a biological dentist should be used if at all possible.

The Navarro Clinic's HCG Urine Test
A webpage with the description, test results and links for this urine test is: http://www.new-cancer-treatments.org/Articles/Determine.html. The test detects the presence of HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) in urine.
(This test costs $50 plus about $15 postage.)
Directions for Urine Sample Preparation:
(1) From an early morning urine, take 50 cc (1.7 oz.) and add 200 cc (7 oz.) of acetone (can be purchased from hardware store or pharmacy) and 5 cc (.2 oz, or .4 Tablespoon) of alcohol, either rubbing or ethyl. Stir and mix well.
(2) Let it stand in the refrigerator for 2 hours until sediment is formed. Throw off about half of the urine-acetone mixture without losing any sediment. [Make sure the sediment stays at the bottom of the container -- i.e. don't stir it up.] Filter the remainder through a coffee filter or laboratory filter paper.
(3) When filtration is over, dry the filter with its sediment. Fold and wrap in aluminum foil. Send by Global Priority Mail to the Navarro Medical Clinic (address listed below) including a Xerox copy of the money order or cashier's check with the patient's name, address, sex, age and a brief clinical history and/or diagnosis. Also, be SURE to include your e-mail address. This will speed up your receipt of the results by at least 4-6 weeks.
(4) PRECAUTION: No sexual contact for 12 days for female patients before collecting the urine sample. For males, no sexual contact for 18-24 hours before collecting the urine sample. DO NOT SEND URINE IF THE PATIENT IS PREGNANT.
